1. Turmeric

This is an orange-colored spice, or a root crop that has a brown skin and an orange interior. It is used to make curried dishes around the world. Aside from curry, you can also add turmeric powder to egg salad, soups, seasoned meats, other sauces and dressings. 

Turmeric contains an active ingredient called Curcumin. This is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that are used in treating some conditions such as toothache, menstrual discomforts, flatulence, bruises and urinary tract infection.
