1. Turmeric
This is an orange-colored spice, or a root crop that has a brown skin and an orange interior. It is used to make curried dishes around the world. Aside from curry, you can also add turmeric powder to egg salad, soups, seasoned meats, other sauces and dressings.
Turmeric contains an active ingredient called Curcumin. This is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that are used in treating some conditions such as toothache, menstrual discomforts, flatulence, bruises and urinary tract infection.
Aside from that, it has benefits in the prevention and treatment of several forms of cancer including breast, lung, stomach, liver, and colon through its antioxidant character.
Curcumin impedes angiogenesis also known as vascular epithelial growth, is the process of formation of new blood vessels. Due to this, there will be no blood supply to the cancerous cells and so preventing cancer growth. Other effects include inducing a tumor suppressor gene, stopping metastasis (spread of cancer from one organ to another), prevents regrowth of the cancer stem cells, and it activates cancer cell death (apoptosis).

It is a small fruit that grow in bunches, from the grapevine, which has a purple or green skin. It is eaten raw, it can be dried to make raisins or currants, or is used for making wine.
Grapes contain high levels of compounds that can protect against cancer, one of which is resveratrol.
This can prevent cancer by reducing inflammation, act as an antioxidant and it can block the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. It decreases tumor volume, weight and growth through decrease angiogenesis in multiple cancer types such as breast, colon, prostate and lung. In addition, grapes also have quercetin, anthocyanins and catechins that have the same effects against cancer.
3. Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries
Berries are dark-colored fruits. The dark color is due to their high content of phytonutrients that can prevent cancer growth.
Phytonutrients are natural chemicals produced by plants that keep them healthy, and protect them from insects and the harmful effects of the sun. These are not important in keeping the body alive but help in preventing development of disease. They act as antioxidants, which help keep free radicals under control. Free radicals are unstable molecules that occur as a normal byproduct of metabolism, to defend against bacteria and viruses. However, free radicals can damage cells when present in excessive amounts and therefore result to cancer. Antioxidants help neutralize this.

4. Tomatoes
It is a round, edible, pulpy vegetable that is typically red, but may be yellow, orange, green or purplish in color. This can be eaten raw or cooked.
Tomatoes have a high content of lycopene, which is a strong anti-cancer agent that hinders angiogenesis. Lycopene can also protect against damage due to pesticides, herbicides, monosodium glutamate (MSG) and certain types of fungi.
